Her patience had been gone for months. All she could think about was getting rid of him…even if it was just for a few months. The call that Sabrina never wanted to receive came about a month ago.
No woman ever wants to get a call telling her that her boyfriend had been struck by a car that hydroplaned through an intersection. Nor does she want to hear that he was almost killed in the accident. She also doesn't want to hear phrases like "Life Flight", "Collapsed Lung", "Multiple Broken Bones", and (Sabrina's personal favorite from the caring doctors) "His heart stopped beating for a few seconds." It's phrases like this that made it nearly impossible for her to actually get to the hospital because she was crying to hard to be able to see the road she was driving on.
